Medical and Surgical Training
Providing training opportunities is of utmost importance to Midland Doctors®. To deliver the best possible patient care, we must ensure medical staff are provided with highest quality skills and knowledge.
Midland Doctors® are proud to participate in the training and teaching of junior doctors, nurses and paramedical staff, not only at Midland Doctors Medical Institute, but also in other institutions across Pakistan with the help of external leading specialists in their respective fields.
Initially courses were conducted on cardiac resuscitation, sepsis resuscitation, basic surgical skills and basic laparoscopic skills. Thereafter, courses were conducted on an annual basis with assistance from specialists in the UK, Canada, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Pakistan.
To name a few, we are grateful to the following for their expert help and leadership in education.
Mr Syed Iftikhar, UK (Surgical and laparoscopic skills course),
Ms Yasmeen Majid
Ms Sarah Makhdum
Ms Mahjabeen Hussain, Canada (Pain management and cardiac resuscitation)
Mr Javed Ahmed, Abu Dhabi (Surgical and resuscitation)
Dr Nauman Rashid, UK (Trauma course)
Dr Farhan Rashid, UK (COVID courses)
Mr Viquar Quraishi, UK (Orthopaedic fracture and plaster course)
Most recently, we have participated in virtual surgical training through the use of video technology, liaising with staff on site at MDMI to further train and improve delivery of surgeries and patient care.
How can I help Midland Doctors®?
We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
