Case Study: Laraib's Journey to Recovery.
Laraib Niaz, a 17-year-old girl, is a testament to the power of kindness and generosity. At 5 years old, she suffered severe burns, leaving her with a debilitating contracture on her neck. Her parents struggled financially and couldn't afford the life-changing surgery she needed. Tragically, they passed away when Laraib was 10, leaving her with an uncertain future. She's currently living at an SOS village home in Muzaffarabad.
Laraib's life turned around on oct 22nd 2025 when she arrived at Midland Doctors Medical Institute (MDMI) Muzaffarabad. Our team, led by visiting Plastic Surgeon Dr. Yasir Iqbal, assessed her condition and scheduled her for surgery on 6th of Nov 2025. The successful surgery was a turning point. She regained mobility and confidence, shedding the limitations imposed by her contracture. Today, she moves freely and lives life to the fullest.
She recovered in Dec.2025.
