With many destitute patients with no means of transport, we are pleased to offer an ambulance and minibus service to bring patients to MDMI or take medical aid to those in need.
The MDMI has begun providing Ambulatory care to reach out to patients needing help in emergency situations. The hospital employs trained staff who enable the swift care needed to be given to patients in critical situations.
…and whoever saves a life, it will be as if they saved all of humanity.
MDMI had been desperate to acquire an Ambulance which could deal with the tough terrain of the local transportation routes local to Muzaffarabad; so, it was an amazing day when a donation was received by a family in the UAE, who wish to remain anonymous, but specifically wished to assist in acquiring an ambulance for the hospital. The opportunity arose down to our physical presence in the UAE, following our Dubai office having opened in 2019. So, our dreams came true when a new vehicle was sourced and totally renovated to accommodate all our requirements. The ambulance has been fully equipped, with monitor, oxygen and a defibrillator, to be used as transportation of patients with all the necessary equipment that may be needed for relocation of patients. Patients can also be referred and taken to other centres if the condition of the patient demands it.
Prior to the ambulance being delivered, we were also privileged to have received a donation from Canadians for Global Care to purchase a minibus, which has since been integral in the completion of later projects. MDMI are incredibly grateful to have both modes of transport on site thanks to our generous donors. Staff at MDMI have used the ambulance and minibus for the use of transport of patients, equipment, food delivery activity and distribution of clean birth kits.
Women’s Health
With a specially dedicated service at MDMI, we are able to assist females from local and remote villages with any gynaecological concerns whilst also raising awareness with regards to hygiene and menstrual well-being. Read article
