MDMI brings to the region the first cardiac services unit of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
The MDMI Cardiology service is fully functional for treatment of essential hypertension, diagnostics for arrhythmias, echo cardiogram to evaluate dysfunction and cardiac abnormality supported by a consultant cardiologist and a cardiology technician. Furthermore, the unit conducts stress testing, cardiography (specialized ultrasound) scanning of the heart and reveal/event recording equipment that enables to record abnormal tracers of the heart for up to fourteen days at home, to then be interpreted by the specialist. This clinical modality is our cardiac diagnostic services and a small part of much larger project of the very first cardiac services in the AJK. It is all supervised by a fully qualified consultant cardiologist.

The Angiography Suite is a first of its kind for the region. This equipment is currently undergoing installation at the Midland Doctors® Facility. This is Phase 2 of a very complex service provision (Phase 2 Cardiac Investigation already functional). Phase 3 will run concurrently to phase 2 and will see the set-up recovery and high dependency unit together with a dedicated cardiac ward.
It will allow us to provide a very specialised service in diagnostics and treatment of vascular, cardiac patients plus manage a variety of inpatient services safely, effectively and efficiently.
Women’s Health
With a specially dedicated service at MDMI, we are able to assist females from local and remote villages with any gynaecological concerns whilst also raising awareness with regards to hygiene and menstrual well-being. Read article
