We are extremely grateful to Canadians for Global Care (CGC), particularly Malik and Rozy Hemani, who have given us immense support towards funding our Midland Doctors Medical Institute (MDMI) based projects.
Canadian Global Care is a non-profit, charitable organization. The Canadian Global Care Society is a grassroots organization focused on improving the health and well-being of underprivileged populations within Canada and around the world. Their goals complement ours and they continue to work hard to support Midland Doctors®.
Canadian Global Care Society’s Goals:
- To support health-related projects initiated in disaster-struck areas.
- To promote health-related basic education and services in third world countries.
- Partner with other organisations to promote better health for all.
- To empower underprivileged and marginalised populations to achieve optimum physical and mental wellness.
CGC have played a great part in introducing Midland Doctors® to various cities of Canada such as Calgary, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto. They have also held fundraisers to collect donations on our behalf and these have led to the establishment of the Ophthalmology and Paediatric Departments at MDMI. To further recognise their contribution towards Midland Doctors®, CGC donated the Midland Doctors® Minibus which has become an incremental part of every project executed in the region which required any form of transportation, for example delivering food packages to the poor, delivering home birthing kits and transporting poor and destitute patients to and from MDMI. They helped our organisation successfully hold free eye camps giving patients the gift of vision. They have supported our malnutrition program and most recently they have funded our latest project to install solar panels in MDMI, helping our hospital become energy efficient. We are immensely grateful for their support we look forward to our continued partnership.
