“Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC) being an active partner striving for improvement in quality, productivity, and price to govern world trade. Its services are comprised of accreditation and training. Impartiality, confidentiality, integrity, competence, commitment, continual improvement and, of course, accountability are the seven principles that are to be considered as foundation of PNAC along with competent assessors, technical experts, and trainers.” says Ms. Ismat Gul. The seminar conducted by the PNAC at the MDMI has been productive to the medical staff of our hospital and participating medical institutions in the relevance of standardized testing and the requirement of accreditation for hospital laboratories and private testing centers.

The accreditation by PNAC ensures competence in provision of medical services and continuous improvement to the existing facilities. The Midland Doctors ensures continuous training and improvement of its resources both human and infrastructural. The testing and accreditation would involve active participation by hospital administration in training its staff and ensuring all laboratory equipment are up to international standards.

Seen here on the left is the PNAC team and Ms. Maryum taking a tour of the facility. The guests were briefed about our operations which are based on Zakat and Sadaqah. The Midland Doctors has aimed at providing charitable healthcare to the poor and needy, respecting their local social and cultural values. The treatment which is funded by Zakat funds raised in the UK and the UAE has led to the development of many departments at the MDMI since its inception. We look forward to ensure quality and international techniques of medical care to the local population.

Also present during the visit was Ms. Maryum Riaz Wattoo, advisor to UAE Education Ministry. She is a keen supporter and donor of the Midland Doctors and is glad to present at the premises to understand our working model. The other attendees included staff from CMH and the AIMS hospital also located in Muzaffarabad. The MDMI has often been involved in upgrading its infrastructure and educating the staff with continuous training to its medical team.

Ms. Maryam Riaz Wattoo has been closely involved in our activities based in the UAE. She was happy with the progress of the facility over the years and appreciated the care and sincerity of the medical team. The hospital providing Zakat based treatment, located in the remote area provides a haven for the deserving.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?

We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
