Seeing, encouraging and harnessing the potential of sporting ability and talent within a community can ultimately improve the physical well-being and welfare of society.
When Dr Iftikhar, Chairman of Midland Doctors® visited a local badminton club in Muzaffarabad AJK, being a sportsman himself, he saw the potential in players who were playing but lacked proper kits which could help them to improve their skills and also would enable them to compete in tournaments as professional players.
Whatever you give in charity is certainly well known to Allah.
Midland Doctors®, thereafter, formed a badminton team consisting of talented local players. To enable them in sports, they provided them with badminton kits, i.e. shoes, rackets and shirts, tracksuits, and kit bags with the Midland Doctors® logo.
The badminton team has successfully competed in several tournaments, winning a couple of them with the chairman of the charity as their mentor. This has not only helped break down barriers in the area, but has also helped to build bridges amongst the community. The team has also helped to broaden the exposure of Midland Doctors® in the community in both AJK and Pakistan. Local people in the community recognize Midland Doctors® not only as a healthcare provider but also a welfare organization which is empowering community by enabling youngsters in sports and physical wellbeing coupled with helping widows by providing them with food packages during COVID-19 crisis, providing home birthing kits to pregnant females who do not have access to hospitals, supporting orphans and educating local doctors and nurses in AJK.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?
We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world.
