Emergency Care at MDMI

by | Oct 25, 2020 | Medical Aid

Midland Doctors have been training its medical and administrative team in the management of patients that need critical care. The COVID-19 pandemic has given the hospital an opportunity to be equipped and prepared to receive and treat patients that are brought in requiring Critical Care. The patients are usually seen in the outpatient setting by specialists who are resident doctors and volunteers as well. The patients are given Zakat based healthcare service which makes it attractive to the needy and the poor. Our patients travel hundreds of miles to avail the latest treatment methods. The care provided at the hospital, as well as the testing capabilities makes this hospital unique to the region.

Just a few days back, a little girl named Tanawish Fathima, 2 and a half years old was rushed in to the facility with superficial burn injuries. She was initially taken to a nearby health center but the family was not happy with the treatment received at the facility following which she was rushed to the Midland Doctors Medical Institute. We were happy to provide our critical care services to make the patient feel comfortable with the help of pain relievers and IV fluids accompanied by antibiotics. The efficient response by the clinicians led to another family being satisfied with our efforts to provide healthcare of international standards.

How can I help Midland Doctors®?

We are always in need of donations to help run our charity hospital in Muzaffarabad whilst also participating in many other charitable projects across the world. Of course, not all contributions are monetary. Your time and effort to help fundraise, manage and drive our organisation forward will always be welcomed and appreciated!
