Zakat is considered to be a religious duty, and is expected to be paid by all practicing Muslims who have the financial means. There are eight categories of people (asnaf) who qualify to receive zakat funds. MDAUK will be focusing on those who are MDAUK funds will be used to fund Medical Care for those in absolute poverty and those who cannot meet their basic needs Once you have calculated your Zakat payment you can send the amount to MDAUK either by cheque (remember to fill gift aid if you are a UK Tax payer). Alternatively you can pay online via the Justgiving website and we can apply for gift aid off your contribution, thus increasing the amount of your contribution.
